Lee has since stepped down as president of AVR to avoid any percieved conflict of interest. Of course he is not the only bike shop owner to be involved in a cycling club -duh it's good for business! The Chase's have not contacted Lee direclty in a personable way that would be conducive to cooperation. It's too bad that this situation arose out of a petty personal conflict. Both clubs are based on a love of cycling that should never be dragged into this heinous arena. Sorry if I've blown anyone's cover ;)
Seana here. I hate to get involved but...whoa this silliness is finally getting personal and public. this is just my humble perspective, my bias is obvious.Truth be told, this whole conflict began as a personality clash. AVR has been an active bike club in the valley for over 10 years.(I guess it's ok to use names now!) Daryl Chase used to be a member but he and his wife (who doesn't even ride!?) decided to start thier own club because they felt Lee had slighted them in a business venture. neither of them spoke up about it at the time - but now speak freely to anyone else who will listen! It is this simple. Neither Daryl nor Keri initiated any effort to improve or build upon AVR involvement in the community - it was easier to just start thier own club than to have a difficult conversation to resolve the conflict and work in harmony. In fact, not only did they choose not to communicate thier concerns directly but instead began a sort of smear campaign against AVR members, towards Lee in particular (it is perceived that he holds all of the power in the club)including accusations of embezzlement and adultery!
transition Flatline??? I like it, Rockies look good w/ any decals
They're beautiful bikes - floats like a cloud over anything and pedals pretty easily...and I'm a 5' woman. I love mine - keeping it for another season. I can't wait to see how Sabrina J does on hers - no doubt she'll have it pimped down to 40lbs!
